Hello, Claudio. Thank you for contacting the WPML support forum. Often strings translation issues are caused by low WP Memory Limit. By looking at the debug info, you have attached I can see that your WordPress installation has WP Memory Limit is set to 40MB. Our recommendations are to have the following as minimal requirements: - PHP 5.3 and above with memory limit of at least 128MB and more if possible. Please follow this link for a detailed documentation: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ Is it possible for to change those to the minimum requirement? You may need to contact your hosting provider for that. You can try and do it from the wp-config.php file in your WordPress installation. Insert this code in that file. I have with me an older version of this plugin. I can see similar issues when I try to work with it on my test site. Since I'm using an older version(1.3.8), it will not be right to say if they are from the same source. I can also see in our internal documentations that there is an issue with this plugin, and our compatibility team is trying to work on it with the author of the plugin. Please understand that it also depends on the author cooperation with us. Maybe you can write an email to the author of the plugin and tell that although it is stated on the plugin's page that it is compatible with WPML, still there are issues. You can ask him to cooperate with us to solve those issues. Please note that this plugin has not been approved yet by WPML as a compatible plugin. I look forward to your reply! Thanks, Itamar.

Hi. If you tried to change it through the wp-config.php file and the change was not accepted by the system, it is probably restricted by hosting company. You should contact your hosting company and ask them to increase the WP Memory Limit to 256MB and more if possible. Thanks, Itamar.

Hello, Claudio. Thanks for sharing with me the latest version of this plugin. I've removed the link. To your request, I've made the test, and it worked for me. Here is what I did. 1. I've downloaded and installed the WP Job Manager plugin by Automattic and the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin by Myles McNamara. 2. I've configured the plugins. 3. I've translated the 'Post a Job' page to Franch (second language in my case). 4. I've created a new job field from Job listings -> Job Fields -> New Job Field. Please see attached screenshot add-new-job-field.jpg 5. In the Output section of the 'Add New Field' screen, in 'Output' I've selected where to show this field. Please see attached screenshot add-new-job-field-output.jpg Maybe this is the part you were missing? 6. I've pressed the 'Add New Field' button. Please see attached screenshot job-fileds-success.jpg 7. In Field Editor Settings -> Fields (tab) I've pressed the 'Force Register Strings Translations' button. Please see attached screenshot register-strings.jpg 8. Then in WPML -> Strings Translation I've translated the strings of the new field. Please see attached screenshot field-in-string-translation.jpg 9. On the 'POST A JOB' page in English I've posted a new job and filled the new custom field. Please see attached screenshot post-a-job.jpg Obviously, at this stage, I can only see a preview just in the language that I'm currently posting the job. 10. I've submitted the listing. 11. In Jobs Listings -> All Jobs I've pressed the plus sign (+) under the Franch flag to translate the new job listing into Franch. Please see attached screenshot translate-job.jpg 12. In the editing page of the translation I've copied the content from English and translated it. The content of the fields was not copied, and I had to fill it out manually. Please see attached screenshot edit-translation-fields.jpg 13. Then I've checked the original language and the second language of the new job listing, and I could see that the field is translated. Please see attached screenshot job-listing-english.jpg and job-listing-franch.jpg 14. I've checked it also when creating a new job listing in the second language. Please see attached screenshot new-listing-in-franch.jpg Please let me know if the above solution works for you, I look forward to your reply! Thanks, Itamar.

Hello. I've made this further testing that you have asked me to make. I can confirm that the options values are not translating. This might concern a compatibility issue with the 'WPML Job Manager Field Editor' plugin and WPML. I can see that there is an ongoing compatibility process with this plugin, but please understand that it also concerns the author cooperation with our compatibility team on this process. I will find out about the status of this compatibility process and get back to you here in the thread. Thank you for your patience. Thanks, Itamar.

Our new small review is devoted to WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin which is going to become a good solution for any directory website or a job board. The purpose of this plugin is to allow you fully customize all form fields for WP Job Manager as well as create new custom fields if required.
So let’s install and activate the plugin to observe its main advantages.
Once the plugin is active, you can go to Job Listings -> Field Editor Settings and see how you can manage the work of this plugin and what functions it can provide your directory website with. Initially, the features of this plugin allow to add, edit or disable any default or custom fields. But you can also manage its reCaptcha, output, logic, admin, and other settings. Just review the settings to see what you can do.
How to Create a Custom Field?
Go to Job Listings -> Job Fields to Add Job Field or Edit one of the existing ones up to your needs.
So let’s create a field:
Click Add Job Field button, here you will see the config section. You can select a field type from the available drop-down list.
Let’s select a Date Picker. After selecting the type, choose the Meta Key (it should be something unique and lower case), and then type in the Label you want.
If you go to Advanced section in the same window, you’ll be able to select a Picker Mode including a Single or Standard (which can be a basic date picker) one, Multiple (to select multiple dates), and Range (to select a range or dates from…to).
In the Advanced section you’ll be also able to select the Minimal and Max date allowed for selection. You can leave the minimal date as Today or, for instance, if you want to set 5 or 10 or any other amount of days previous to today, you can specify a number like -5, -10, etc.
If you want to select up to 10, 14 or any other amount of days from the date of listing, set the maximum date allowed for selection like +10, +14, etc.
If you want to link to the submit listing page from another page, go to Populate section in the Edit Field window and check the URL Populate option. Here you can also check the Auto Populate option if you need to. A small explanation is available under every option you work with, so read it to understand what the option is for.
More Abilities of the Plugin
There are some other abilities of the plugin you can use. Let’s try to create a File Upload field type.
Click the Add Job Field button, select the File Upload type, create the Meta Key and the Label, and then go to Advanced section to set the Max number of file uploads.
This functionality allows to limit the amount of uploads as per your needs as well as set the maximum upload size.
The plugin also includes the ability to add and manage Company Fields with ease. All is done as easily as with adding a custom field and editing its preferences.
This plugin is constantly developed, so new features, bug fixes, and updates are added on a regular basis.
Hi! I’m an experienced writer exploring WordPress for more than 5 years. I’m happy to share my knowledge and ideas with you and I hope you join me.
Cheers,
