Yes, this can easily be done, even without a specific binding for Blue Iris. If you want Blue Iris to act as a motion sensor in Openhab. In Blue Iris, go into the alerts tab for a camera, open the the Configure Web Alert screen you have pasted, and enter the following. A multi-channel DVR/NVR security camera system is dramatically more expensive than a regular IP camera; DVR/NVR security camera systems from different vendors require different cameras. Using IP-based network cameras, you don't need a DVR/NVR security camera system as each network camera can connect to the cloud directly.

I've been looking into building a home security camera system. I haven't been able to find a system that provides everything I want. I'm curious if others have any suggestions.
Goals:
- Continuous local recording. I'd probably set this to something like last 24 hours. I want to always have the last X hours available, without relying on motion detection.
- Local storage and cloud upload for clips. I'd like motion-activated clips to be recorded, probably something like 10 seconds pre- and 10 seconds post-motion. I want these stored both locally and uploaded to a cloud service. Doesn't really matter what cloud service, as long as it's remote.
- Managed box. I have the ability to, but I don't want to manage my own Windows or Linux box that runs software. I want to buy a box that will run the software so I can set it and forget it.
The SmartThings v2 camera integration with D-Link/Samsung cameras seems to satisfy #2 and #3 but not #1. The Hikvision line seems to satisfy everything except the cloud upload. I've heard good things about Blue Iris, but again, I don't want to manage an always-on Windows box (#3).
Does anyone have a suggestion for something that satisfies my conditions? Thanks for reading.
